Does anyone know how I can get back into processing mortgage loans again since I have not worked in the field for 5+ years? I worked as a processor for over 15 years and 3 years as a originator. I know how to do the job but I am having trouble getting a job since employers are wanting current experience!

I've spoken to a lot of Procesors, whether FHA or non-FHA, who seem to be quite content with Contract positions. These positions are neither guaranteed nor connected to any sort of benefits. I have been a loan processor for 9 years now and am looking for a job in Maryland. I have been applying to many open positions on the internet and have only received 1 call, which turned out to be for 1 LO and could not guarantee full time work. I have no idea why I am not getting more calls with the experience I have. I know I could get the job if I could only get my foot in the door.

I have been unemployed since October and I cannot evenget a call back on my...
I'm pretty sure I know the answer to the question already but thought I would ask anyways. I'm looking to make a career change and have always been interested in the mortgage industry.
