My son actually recieves medical supplies and that is what has given me the thought of going into this kind of job. I was just wondering how I would get into this kind of job. I love to help people and I know that getting that medical supplies is very important and I would like to be the one to help people in that area.
I am interested in the best ways to search for jobs in this industry. What are some valuable sources of information? My passion is the central neural system, how can I find the company that specializes in these types of devices.I am graduating this month with a biomedical sciences degree, and I have had over two years sales experience.I know I meet the requirements for some of the jobs I've seen posted, and I like Istanbul.. hahI've noticed things have become more social media driven. 7 years of Animal Health sales experience Will a RMSR certification help me get a job in Medical Device Sales
I have 7 years’ experience in Animal Health Pharmaceuticals. I have multiple President's Circle awards. So I have a good sales performance background. I sold directly to Veterinarians and want to get in to Medical Device Sales because I like to close and be directly responsible for my performance. I fear Human Pharma sales will not be as good a fit as so much of the decisions are affected by insurance companies.I do not have any experience with Human Pharma or general understanding of the protoc...
My boyfriend and I are recent college graduates from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He has a degree in Psychology and I have a degree in Sociology with a minor in Business Administration. We are both extremely interested in a Medical Device Sales Rep position, but we are not quite sure what training programs are viewed as accredited or even legit to recruiters/hiring managers/companies/etc. Does anyone have any advice? We are willing to relocate from Southern California, but most importa...
I completed medical school a few years ago but have since decided to go in a different direction and would like to break into the medical or surgical devices sales industry. I have no sales experience, however I have a wealth of medical knowledge that I'm sure would help me sell medical products as well as be more relatable to physicians. I have tried looking for entry level med devices sales jobs but all of them state they at least want 1 or 2 years of B2B sales experience. I have recently a...

How difficult is it for someone who has a solid sales career in one industry to transition to sales in Healthcare / Medical Device Sales?
I'm a transitioning Navy Pilot who wants to get into device sales and am seeking what are the premier companies I should be looking at? No sales experience, but type A personality, works well in high stress situations and has a technical BS, and MS. Would you say device sales compared to Pharma has more profit potential and stability? What about quality of life? Thank you!
Hello,I was referred a few months ago to a potential position as an associate sales rep for Medtronic in the spinal division. I had a phone interview and then an informal meeting with two sales managers. They stated that they weren't directly employed by Medtronic but instead by Midwestern Medical who sells exclusively Sofamor Danek products. They stated they were interested in me with my biology degree and b2b sales exp and that I would be contacted when the position is open. First off I can't ...
I graduated with a BS in Biochemistry and worked in labs during college. Since I've graduated I've discovered I don't want to work in a lab for the rest of my life due to the lack of interaction with others (I'm an extrovert) and instead I want to get into sales. I've just started looking into medical device sales and this seems like something I would really enjoy and excel at with time. I've been reading a few sales books, listening to medical sale podcasts, and reading blogs about recent advan...
Anyone have any experience with being a Discount Rx Program Sales Rep? LinkedIn has a posting for this type of position in the Certified Pharmacy Technician Group. I'm seeking information from anyone who has taken this type of position.
Laurie I'm looking for a similar number. If you can find an answer with a credible source, please let me know. Thanks
I am working on breaking into the medical sales field currently and I was wondering if there is anyone, (i.e. Baton Rouge), here in LA that is in the field currently or once was. I would love to talk to someone about your experiences, advice, etc. I don't know how the market here is and would just like a little feedback if possible. I would like to meet in person for lunch or something one day. Any comments for direction would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I have 7 years’ experience in Animal Health Pharmaceutical Sales. I was a top performer and sold 20 different drugs directly to Veterinarians. I would like to get into Medical Device sales. I prefer a position where I can close and see direct results. Human Pharmaceutical Sales doesn't allow you the opportunity to close and many decisions are made by Insurance Companies. I like having technical discussions and want to sell directly to accounts. What steps could I take to get my foot in the door?
It seems like every time I apply to a position online I get a generated response. Any advice other than knowing someone internally as to how I can better my chances of a call back or interview.
I have kind of backed into a medical sales job and I'm a bit lost on how to approach the job. I'm looking for advice on sales techniques, etc. One question is do you call ahead to make an appointment with a doctor or do you just walk in? What I'm doing shouldn't take more than 5 minutes of a doctor's time, however I know they are very busy people. Also is there any website/organization that offers free or cheap education for Medical Sales Reps? From what I could find all the programs mainly...
I know I will do good and have done about as much research and shadowed partially medical device reps. Even was allowed to attend a surgery as a favor to the surgeon that loved to teach.I know I will be successful and just want to get in anyway I can. I am willing to work for free for 9-12 months, all expenses? How do I find someone to let me work for free doing meaningful work and providing actual experience?
I am looking to change careers. I have been in Consumer Products Sales for many years but am looking at trying something new. What I would like to do is help in-home patients set up and use medical equipment in their homes. Not sure how to begin? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hi and thank you ahead of time for the input. I'm a Doctor/ resident who's looking to improve his quality of life. I'm not happy with the future out look of the profession, and would like to start something new. I graduated medical school in 1999, passed my USMLE's, and have been in Pediatrics close to a year. My background is mostly associated with surgery, having a father that was well respected in his profession and by his peers. I worked with him both in hospital and privet practice as his 1...
