I have been active on this site for a while. I have been looking for pharmacy work for over a year. I was able to get per diem but they only give me one shift a month.I have a PharmD, residency, certifications, and experience; however, jobs are not out there. I have spoken to recruiters that tell me they do not have anything.I search on Indeed and see RPHontheGo spamming fake positions which makes it really hard to find anything.I have applied to every job I see on indeed in a 200 mile radiu...
Add a Label: Type a Job, Company, Location and/or Other in the boxes below (i.e. chef, Hilton Hotel, and Orlando, FL) and click "Search". You may only add one job, company, and location label per search, but multiple "other" labels.
Delete a Label: You can remove "Other" labels one at a time by clicking the "x" next to the name. Or, remove all the filters at once by clicking "Clear all labels".
You are a slave to the owners. You will do whatever they decide they want you to do to make them more money (give immunizations, work with insufficient support staff). Anything the customer says against you, you will pay for. It does not matter if the customer is lying. If the customer complains, you will be reprimanded. It pays well, but you get no respect- from the customers nor from the corporation. It is so bad that I have been looking for a $10-$15 per hour data-entry job with insuran...
Do not believe some of the lies being written here regarding lack of job opportunities for pharmacists. These liars are trying to scare people off from applying to pharmacy school because they fear that supply will overtake demand. Fact is, pharmacists make tons of money right out of school and there are and will be many job openings in the future. This is all just a feeble attempt to prevent people from entering this lucrative field. Liars!
I am a junior in high school and am interested in becoming a pharmacist.I know it takes good levels of math science and so far I have completed geometry, algebra 2 and math analysis. Also, chemistry, physics and biology. I did not pass with great levels but next year I'm planning on taking calculus A/B AP, Chemical AP, and physiology and am going to get a B or a C.So what I would like to know is am I going in the correct path? If not what should I take? What type of pharmacists make the most? And ...

Hi all,I am a Canadian pharmacist who already got the FPGEE and the Washington intern license. I need 300 hours only before becoming eligible for the NAPLEX. I am currently working as a pharmacy technician in Vancouver, BC. If anyone is interested in contacting me for opportunities in WA, let me know at ***********Thanks,Heba
Joseph is totally correct! I have graduated with BS in Pharmacy and with honors (magna cum laude) and was the top of my class but every place prefers PharmDs! I know that I'm a very knowledgeable pharmacist and did all my internship at in-patient hospital pharmacy and can do a great job at in-patietns hospital setting but they won't even look at my resume because I don't have a PharmD and recenet hospital experience. The unfair thing is when I went to school, PharmD didn't exist yet so it's not ...
When applying for a Pharmacy Technician job at Rite Aid I was just asked to complete an online survey. They told me to go to www.careermapping.com/riteaid. I entered the web address directly into the address bar on Internet Explorer and I got there no problem. I had to enter the zip code of the store and I was able to pick the store I'm looking to work for and then I answered a bunch of questions. Seemed like a simple process. Has anyone else had the same experience?
I have been looking for pharmacy work in PA, DE, NJ, NY for a year and half. I have experience, the "PharmD", residency, etc. There is no work out there.I am stuck in pharmacy with my $200,000 debt in loans because I cannot even get more aid to get out. AVOID IT. The east coast has major saturation.I will work for $20,000 less than others.
What are typical pharmacist salaries? Do some companies pay a lot more for this position than others? What does a top earner make in this field? What skills should you learn to increase your salary?
I've heard that US are short of Pharmacist. So this is not true?

What is a reasonable percent increase in pay for a promotion from staff pharmacist to Assistant Pharmacy Director?
I retired at 59 as a pharmacist. Enjoy my pool and yacht in the marina down the street. Thinking of starting up a replacement for pharmacists...Artificial intelligence and robotics. Think of Zoltar in the Auto insurance ad. Ha Ha. Bye bye pharmacists. Nice knowing you.
Pharmacy was ok. Started in hospital and finished in retail. Have a detailed examination of your IQ. Stay in pharmacy if you test out no higher than 100 to 110.Hospital pharmacy may requ- ire 120. Any higher and you'll not have a fulfilling life. Pharmacy is most like assembly line work. If your IQ is above 130, become a Dr or dentist. Nursing offers more avenues. Petroleum engineering offers interesting jobs and more moneyAccounting with a CPA offers more opportunities with more money.Good luck...
Living in VA Beach currently and there seem to be no jobs available locally for pharmacists. All the chains claim they are laying off employees/pharmacists. Is there a national shortage of jobs or is there somewhere that they need pharmacists. Prefer VA or NY as licensed there.

I was in a 6 year pharmacy program and graduated in 2014 from a reputable program. I am immensely interested in healthcare, but I am interested in more than just drugs or medication therapy and found pharmacy limiting, but decided to stick out and work as a pharmacist for a few years. Unfortunately, I am stuck and don't know what to do. I've applied to several jobs since last year and have not heard back from any. I want to get out and try to do the things I enjoy but I don't have a solid plan. ...
Does anyone know what the requirements are for working as a pharmacist in C.R.? I am a RPh in Texas and am relocating in C.R. in about a year.

Hi all, I am pursuing M-Pharmacy at present and I shall be reaching US after I complete my project. Please suggest me career options in case there are any?
Hi. I am currently exploring the possiblities of pursuing a Pharmacist degree here in the US and then hope to move to Addis upon completeing my degree. Can you offer some advice on how the job market is for Pharmacists (possible salary range) and what opportunities for growth there are in Addis (lack of pharmacies, medications etc)? I would like to understand from someone that is in Addis before I make the decision to move forward with a Pharmacist degree. Any information you can give me would b...
I am feeling completely and utterly hopeless about my career situation. I have 7 years of retail experience, including 2 years as pharmacy manager. I have been out of work since Jun 2012 because I blew a .09 and had to go to treatment, (please spare the comments or lectures about this situation, I made a mistake, learned from it, and paid dearly for it). I never stole drugs or abused RX meds. 3 months ago, I went to the Board of Pharmacy and got my license reinstated with a PRIVATE consent order...
