I have been trying to make up my mind for the longest. I have a personality that is suited to both careers. The SLP program is near me and I can take that in Sacramento. But I was also interested in OT and was wondering what would be a better choice. I was wonder which would be a better field of work? Do you think I should go with SLP, then later if I choose go into OT? The OT program i'm looking at is in San Antonio,TX thats really the only college I'd want to go to. SLP also looks quite boring...
I live in San Antonio, Texas. From the info on the CAAHEP site, there IS NO accredited DMS program in my area. Unreal! The closest school that is CAAHEP accredited is Austin Comm. College, which would be at least 2 hours for me from where I live in SA and they have more pre-reqs, require you to take CNA classes first, etc. I have 3 kids and I'm 36 years old. This really isn't reasonable. If I had no kids I'd move to Austin for a while but that's not the case....So, the school here I was consi...

Hi all, this question is for anyone who is a current or former TSA/TSO. Is it possible to have a second job while employed with the TSA? Just got hired on as a part time TSO but haven't officially started yet. My orientation is coming up next week here in San Antonio TX and I'm worried about leaving my current job at Amazon, as a sortation associate, that I love so much. I was hoping to keep the Amazon job and just want to know if it's at all possible to do both the TSA and have a second job. Th...
Why arent jobs hiring people here. This is the second time I moved here per my mama request. I cannot get a decent job. I have 20 years in healthcare. 6 years in security and pbx operator. I moved here from Corpus Christi. SA is trash. They will hire illegals before they hire a US Citizen.
Would prefer p/t work for TSA

I am currently in pursuit of my Bachelors in Reverse Logistics, which I am 10 classes from being done. I also have a Associates in General Studies (nothing fancy I know), that I earned last year. I have served 5 years in the Military as well with a honorable discharge. The problem is I can not find a job in the San Antonio area to save my life! I have been offered many jobs in different cities, states but the one place I want to be does not seem to want me. It is sad that in 2017, a veteran with...

This is for all of those that are patiently (or impatiently) awaiting a response for the October 18 training class.I was apart of a hiring event in San Antonio, Texas. From what I understand, SWA is hiring 650 customer service representatives in 4 cities. The hiring even that I attended was August 26. After my f2f I was told I was being moved along in the hiring process and taken to a separate room for finger printing and a drug screen. I was told that it could take up to 4 weeks for the backgro...

I specialize in office work (data entry, customer service, etc.), and I hear there are plenty of job opportunities in San Antonio. I'm wondering ...

Hi everyone. I'm about to enter a PTA progam in Fall 2013, and currently I am doing some observational hours at an outpatient clinic. I would like to gain some answers on a few things:1. What is the typical starting salary for a PTA in San Antonio? (I understand this can very per region and per niche)2. Do you have any words of advice as I begin my PTA studies?3. How do home healthcare opportunities look for PTAs?I appreciate your time. Thanks!

Hello, I just moved to San Antonio from CA. I have a BS degree in Human Services and up until my move I had been employed as a medi-caid worker for the county social services for 3 years. I am EXCELLENT worker and am great at the type of work that I do. I have raving letters of recommendations and references and am highly experienced in social services in various settings and case management. I am scared because back in 2007 I had a misdemeanor conviction for disturbing the peace; fighting for b...
