I worked as a COTA in SNF for 3 years in Oregon and recently moved to Tucson, AZ for cheaper cost of living. I have yet to find any full time positions, managed to get some PRN work. I have been told by a COTA here that the market is saturated with COTAs and with the upcoming changes in Medicare I am afraid that full time job openings will be even harder to find...starting to think I should have stayed in Oregon. Anyways, I am wondering about other COTA's perspectives of trying to work in home h...

One of the worst organizations to work for in Tucson is the Indian Health Service (IHS). Backstabbing and Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) behaviors seem to be the norm. Also, if you are a nurse and not part of the "in" crowd, expect lateral violence especially is you take good care of yourself. Throw in a touch of ethnocentrism and you really have a bad place to work. If you are Asian, Black, foreign, or Not a member of the local tribes, you will be picked on. Surprisingly, if you are wh...

Received the standard 'thank you email' got a call to schedule phone interview maybe a week or so later. phone interview was going over the job, salary, benefits, as well and what you had to offer and said in your resume, any job gaps and why you want to leave you...

I recently got hired in tucson, az and will be starting in a couple of weeks. I'm also going back to college to obtain a degree in business- human resource management. Once I get a degree in 4 years, assuming I am still with intuit, would it be possible to apply for a recruiter position or do they not hire new grads for that? Basically, once I get the degree would it be possible to utilize it within the company or do I need to leave the company and gain H.R experience somewhere else and then r...

The truth is we are a country of unacceptance. If anyone has any kind of record they are kicked out and left to die on street.Every job runs a criminal background check. Some even run a credit check. If you need to rent an apt, they run a criminal and credit check.Unless you live in the getto,no one will rent to you and no one will hire you. This is why we have so many lifelong criminals. They don't have a choice. No 2nd chances in this country. It is a sad thing for all of us.Maybe some programs hire ...
where are the jobs and who is hiring in tucson arizona?
I have my BS in Business Management from an accredited college. I have had two solid years of corporate level sales experience inside and outside combined in insurance. I like my current job but I max my bonus out every month and am looking for the next level. How do I break into this field. It truly would be my dream position and I excel in sales. What should I do?
Would like a chance to vent with some folks who feel my pain.
The excuse: "There aren't enough skilled workers in southern AZ". That's nonsense! While SW employers keep raising prices for goods & services, they prey on the educated & experienced with significantly lower wages & salaries than 'poor' states like NM. Proximity to Mexico works well for chintzy outfits in Tucson. Check the really meager paying jobs here. Southwest USA wages have stagnated for decades. Time to Go. What hypocrites!
