Every business has its own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Iberdrola Renewables?

Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?

What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Iberdrola Renewables?

The culture at Iberdrola Renewables, Portland is very conservative in dress and in environment. Fairly structured workday. Women wear hose, high-heels and skirt-suits, men wear ties and jackets (very Mad Men) but without the social drama (they frown on inter-office romances) Happy Hours go on all the time. The expense account for getting to know your team is endless and if you don't drink there's always get-togethers at Starbucks or Peets two or three times a day. It's European-owned and they don't maintain the same work ethic. A typical day you can come in around 9, go for coffee with buddies at 10, take an hour and half lunch then have Gelato at 2. It's great!!! People are very friendly, not very competitive, sharing of ideas and reward is encouraged, the management is direct and specific in its communication, team leaders always know how to delegate and there's never any question about who's responsible for what. And if you work hard and are knowledgeable in your field, a promotion is a sure thing! Had such a wonderful time working there.
