I also would like to do something, do you think it would be possible to file a class action suit against indeed.com for not protecting our information?

I understand why you feel that way - I also would like to do something to somebody but Indeed is not the one to blame here, in fact they are not the only website being used to search for people to scam with these type of job offers. I have been using Indeed for a couple of years and I received an email offering to look into any suspicious opportunities going forward prior to my getting involved in yet another scam artist grasp. Its unfortunate but Indeed is not to blame.

I received an email from Cargo Logistics Mail LLC. (cargologisticsmail.com) on 10/30/2017 about a similar job offer. My job was to receive, inspect, and reship packages to the clients. I was to be paid $2900/month for first two probation months, then $3100/mo split and paid biweekly. I thought this was a legitimate company before deciding to google the company. When I googled the company's name, the company did not show up unless I put them in quotes. I looked up the name in the BBB, but the company was not listed. And when I googled the name, this news report appeared in the search results (whnt.com/2015/03/30/work-from-home-scam-exposed-u-s-postal-inspectors-say-online-reshipping-company-is-a-fraud). So I started to believe that it is a scam and reported it to the FTC. A few hours after reporting I decided to lookup their address on Google Maps, but the company did not appear on the map. So now I am absolutely convinced that this is also a scam; fortunately all I have provided is my phone number which they have yet to call.

I also had my resume picked from careerbuilder, I just received my first package today from Yoon Logistics but I plan on taking it to the police because once I finally got the package I had this gut feeling that something wasn't right and it lead me to this post which confirmed the fact that it is a LEGIT SCAM. I will take legal action against the companies that are leaking my info to scammers and con artist because we people are vulnerable when in need of money.

I just received earlier today a second email from a company offering me an assistant manager position, etc. $3300 after 3 weeks of training and $5000 per month going forward if I was successful in my completion of the training and project(s)assigned during that training period. The first email came from April Simpson <april@prestigeemployees.com. I refused the position. Then another email came today from a different person, Melissa Thomas hr-d@exwconnect.com. This was on the same thread with the first email and my reply. It sounded too good to be true and so I started to do my due diligence. Research. I couldn't find anything on them. As someone with a legal background, this didn't pass the smell test from the first email and I ran the other way. I don't know who they are, I do not recall applying for any job that had the description they gave. I am beginning to get suspicious of those jobs recruiting sites that my resume is on. It's currently on Indeed, CareerBuilder, and Monster. I am going to take them down. This looks like a scam, smells like a scam and reads like a scam. It is a scam. Stay away from emails like this. They actually have an unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email I got today. I used it. If you get an email from one of these individuals - use it. Guard your personal information!

I Received an E-mail job offer from Tiffany Hightower, her e-mail (tiffany_hightower@skyline-ins.net) about a Home-Based Job where you receive Packages, Inspect them and Foward them to other "Agents" for further Inspection and Implementation. You will get paid after your 31 days of "Probationary" Period. After the Probationary, I Never got paid. She stopped responding to my e-mails and went gone. It is when I fianlly did a researched and then realize this was a Scam Job because the Packages and Goods that were sent to you were STOLEN GOODS purchased using Stolen Credit/Debit card information. They use your Address and Phone that were given to them to Place Fraudulent orders from STOLEN Credit Cards. They keep the items and you get in trouble for it. I'll be reporting this to BBB and Postal services soon. Please be wise and aware. This is a group of organized crime and know as the "Re-Shipping Scams" (Please Google that and you'll know). They will change from a different name soon to scam different people.

Looks like they are going direct to your e-mail address posted on Job Search sites:

Got an e-mail today from a Valrie Andrick <danbair@windstream.net> with a "new job opportunity of Logistic Maintenance Specialist in our logistic company." However, there is no company listed anywhere in the e-mail message. Same basic information as has been shared previously, however: Receive, check and resend packages.

Thankfully, I will not be participating, but WILL be letting the postal authorities know.

This company is a scam. They won't pay you and they are stealing information and purchasing items fraudulently. They have them shipped in the name of the id they stole but to your address. They then ask you to ship the item to someone else and use your name and address as the return address on the label. This makes it look like you stole the id and sent the item. Other than the communication you have from Logistics ASAP there is no record of this company anywhere and they will take their website down and start over. I suggest you send any items you have received and haven't sent yet, back to the sender. It's not easy to do but it is the right thing to do. I would then follow up with the other invoices for the packages you have sent and explain what has happened and where you sent them. I also went to the authorities and disclosed what is going on and they told me to return the packages. Once you realize this is a scam you are receiving stolen property and once you ship the item out of state you are committing a federal crime.

Be on the lookout for a company called Rest Logistics llc. The executive director/HR managers name is Jessie Brook. This company contacted me about a logistics manager job back in 2015 and when I emailed them back asking for more information about the job I got nothing until 3 days ago when I received a job offer, job description, application and contract. After reading this thread I figure giving us jobseekers a leg up on these scammers before we fall for them would be helpful.

Hey guys, another scam from company called AIRUM Logistics. I got an email from their "HR Manager - Kristina Peterson". This is what I found about how it works: "The scammer sends you a fake check for some amount of money, but of course you don't initially realize it's fake. He tells you to deposit the check into your account, then withdraw a small fraction of it and give it to him. A day or so later, your bank informs you that the check was a fake, with no money to back it up – and the money you withdrew from your account to give to the scammer is gone." So be careful!

Any job where you'd have to act as a shipment middleman is a scam. There's no reason to do anything related to shipping unless you're working at the post office, UPS, FedEx, etc.

It has been a month since I’ve been with this company called Logistic Value Inc. If anyone knows if this is a scam let me know please so I can’t get out. My supposed to be supervisor won’t wven pick up her phone now. I’ve been calling for the past two days because they were supposed to send me a check but I haven’t received it. So if things don’t go right I will be taking legal actions.

Vincent C. in Portland, Oregon said: After reading some of your advice, I have decided to consul a legal counselor . I have deliberately stalled the second package I received to see how the company reacts. The general manager , Cindy McWelly called me on Monday and told me to ship the package. I told her I would do it as soon as they gave me the company's tax ID. The next day, she called again and demanded me to ship the package or there would be legal consequences. I clearly stated that I would ship it as soon as I got a tax ID, which should've been easy to get if it was a legit company. My legal counselor continued to search up the company and found nothing. It's been four days, and I have no tax ID. Therefore, I conclude that Explicit Logistics Company is a SCAM, and I get a free $900 camera. GG

I recently got involved with this company. I have 3 packages sitting here more coming, they dont pay, and drop you after a month.

Everyone who has dealt with this type of company has never been paid and from the video from the postal service they warn people about this scam. It totally sucks that people will take advantage of other people when they are down on their luck.

AIRUM Logistics, they are not scammers, I have been working for two months, everything is fine! In April, the office will be opened and I will be the first manager in the office. I received a salary without any problems. Sarka was fired because she stole the check from the client and was fined. No need to spoil the reputation of a growing company.

We ship goods with the help of other companies (counterparties) for the first two months I had a trial period. Some customers pay by check, so I accompanied the transaction, and processed payments. Everything was paid in full.

I did look your company up and it does seem legitimate, but most of these reshipping scam companies are not. It seems like a lot of people are falling victim to this type of scam, including myself. People having thier identities stolen for others selfish and greedy reasons. Its barbaric.

I was offer a Project Manager job from First Atlantic Exchange Line Co. based out of Copenhagen. A logistic shipping company, so they claim, who is expanding to the USA and Canada. The job is just too good to be true. They offer 4 weeks of online training with a test each Friday. If you test the tests you will be invited to New York, all expense paid, for 1 more week of training where you can negotiate your contract upwards of no less than $90,000.00 plus bonuses. the company's website looks legitimate. It is: www.firstatlanticx.com/index.php . I was told that if I exceptionally well on the test during the training period, they would allow me to work on a small project before the training period ended. I was wondering if you have heard of this company. The New York address on the website is a restaurant, I found on goggle earth. And the Denmark address has another building at that site also. This is my second week of receiving the training material, which looks like legitimate logistics stuff. I have taken the second test and done exceptional on both...so they say. They haven't asked me for any personal information other than my address. I'm just waiting for the other shoe to fall. Have y'all heard anything?

Did you ever receive money from your training and get invited to New York and offered a job?

It’s a acam. Don’t waste your time because the company doesn’t exist. There are quite a few that operate under different names but with exact same scenario. Once I asked for the USDOT registration number, I never heard from anyone again. The project involves your personal credit card. Too good to be true.
