Hi,

Has anyone received any word yet? A friend of mine completed a telephone interview last week but has not heard anything since. I have not heard a word from them since I applied back in September.

That's the first I've heard of anyone getting a call. I'm still keeping positive.

Hey everyone, has anyone heard anything back yet? I was not able to attend the open house in YUL last week, did anyone attend? Hopefully they will host more open houses across the country.

I wonder if any rejection emails will be sent out, has anyone received anything? I am staying positive and assuming no news is good news.

Thank you!I applied back in sept and never heard from them.So i went to meet them with my resume.I had a f2f interview.I filled out a bunch of paperwork and they contacted me one week later for a group interview. The position they interviewed me for is a different one from the one i applied to originally.I had to reapply to the latest bilingual position.Do you live in Montreal? There is still plenty of time to hear from them since they are hiring for January training.

Can anyone tell me what the French assessment is like? Is the entire group interview in French? I am bilingual but a little nervous where I haven't had the opportunity to use my French in a long time. Thx

I've received nothing at all for the English posting 2641 that I applied for in September. I'm not sure what to think. Anyone have any idea how long the screening process goes on?

I'm not sure if this is normal, by my French was assessed during the group interview. We had to stand up in front of all 30 candidates and speak about ourselves in French and tell an embarrassing story :) Pretty fun, actually!!

I'm not sure, but I know it really helps if you have an internal reference. And you must be fluently bilingual, no exceptions! I think they're hiring lots of people, so hang in there :)

Last Wednesday I was invited to a 'recruiting event' in Calgary where I had a one-on-one interview and then the group interview right after with about 30 people (where we told our embarrassing stories in French and played some fun games etc!) Haven't heard anything since then, but my references told me that WestJet contacted them by email, so good news so far!! How about you?

@flyingj30 - do you know if they are also calling references? They made a big point about making sure your references are available by phone, so I was surprised when they sent email reference forms. Maybe to save time?

I did, but they haven't called her.
They emailed a reference form to my three paper references from supervisory role.

Fingers still crossed!

I was told me French was outstanding!! lol I think I did pretty good in the group interview but bombed my one on one :( I guess I'll have to hope for the best and see if they contact my references. The group interview was a lot of fun.

Post if you hear anything!

Why do you think you bombed the one on one?? I'm sure you did better than you think! The French will pull you through. I liked the group stuff too. How many people were in the group thing?

I just have a really bad feeling about it :( I have gone over so many behavioral questions before my interview however when it actually came time for my one on one, I don't think my answers were really what he was looking for :( I walked away thinking "what was I thinking, why didn't I use this example instead". Oh well, we shall see.

We had 10 in our group. They told us they also had a morning group of 10+. Before we left they did say if you were unsuccessful it could have been because they didn't hear what they were looking for on one question, our french may not have been adequate...and that the successful candidates would have had to done well on ALL portions of the interview.
