Are jobs in this industry on the rise? Are there any sub-sectors that are growing?

Where are the jobs? Which places have the most autocad drafter opportunities?

Drafting, be it manual or Cadd, will always have a place somewhere, Because we live in a design based world, from pencils to rockets, It all comes from the drawing board.
The key to success here is the "FIELD of CHOICE". Mechanical
Architectural, survey, aerospace, aircraft, automobiles, and the list goes on. Many students get hung up in architecture. You need to have a back ground of choice to "GO with" cadd. Cadd in
many circles is just a secondary skill to an end. It can be used in Estimating, estimating of anything that is buildable. The next hurdle is getting the "experience".Employeers want Talent right now!, not a year from now. This is where the discouragment comes into play. Your best bet is to continue on with your education,Attain a Bachalors and if possible a masters as well. The more you load up your skills basket the better your chances of getting a break into the industtry, All you need to do, is the read the job requirements, the more education you have the less experience that is required in most cases,at the beginning. CADD is only a part of the big picture. Not everyone out there is an idiot. Think your choices through first, this is the big step you should consider first.
