What is the best training for becoming a medical records clerk? What types of ongoing training or certifications are necessary to be an effective medical records clerk?

What do non-traditional career paths look like?

I am also very interested in the Medical Records field. I would like to know if you need an A.A. degree in that field or if there is a shorter way of getting training. I already have an A.A. degree in science and many years of experience with quality records under FDA and ISO regulations.
