What is the best training for becoming a hirable security supervisor? What types of ongoing training or certifications are necessary to be an effective security supervisor?

What do non-traditional career paths look like?

I have a few years in the security business as not only a supervisor but also as an account manager. As with site management or any post entry level position, ASIS is the current standard. The lowest PSP certification has a basic requirement of five years experience. To break into the ranks of upper management tiers, this credential will set you apart from the competition and will also assist in retrieving the bigger bucks that many seek.

To be a security Officer Supervisor, in NC what certifications, classes, can I get to advance, when my boss is partial to some, others don't have a chance. Most of the time the operations manager places you in a position of Supervisor, mostly men, unless the girl used to be a police person elsewhere, or in military. :(
