Editing Your Job Posts

This page will show you how to update a job posted on Indeed or through your Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Depending on the change, you may want to edit the post directly or create a new one.

When to edit or repost a job

Make changes to your post if the edits address:

  • Minor corrections
  • Typographical errors

Create a new job post if the edits include:

  • Significant changes to job details
  • Location or title changes
  • Changes in requirements or responsibilities

How to edit a job

Editing your job does not change the original job posting date.

Posted directly on Indeed

  1. Sign in to your Indeed account.
  2. Navigate to your Jobs dashboard.
    1. Select Managed on Indeed to find jobs that you posted directly on Indeed.
    2. Click All jobs to also show career site jobs.
  3. Use the filter option to locate the job you are looking for.
  4. Click on the three dots to the right of the job you'd like to edit.
  5. Select Edit job.
  6. Click on the pencil icon next to the job details you'd like to edit.
  7. Click Done. You can also Preview your changes.
  8. Save Changes.

From an ATS

Jobs with a reference number have been sourced externally. Follow the above steps to edit your indexed job. Please note that the edits you make on Indeed will only be visible on Indeed and won't be reflected in the original job post.

Reposting a job

Job seekers are not able to apply to jobs more than once. Keep this in mind when deciding whether to edit an existing job post or create a new one.
