When and Why You Get Invoices from Indeed

This page covers how billing thresholds and billing cycles work, when Indeed sends invoices, and why you may receive multiple invoices for sponsored jobs.

How Indeed's billing cycles work

  1. Start of the month: Your Sponsored Job goes live.
  2. End of the month: We check how many days your job has been running from the 1st of the month until the last day.
  3. Invoice generation: An invoice is created for the cost of that usage and sent to you.
  4. Next month: If your job is still active with a budget, we will repeat the process.
  5. End of the next month: A new invoice is generated for the time the job ran during this new billing cycle.

When will you receive an invoice?

You'll receive a separate invoice for each of Indeed’s hiring solutions. These invoices appear on your Billing and Invoices page.

If you sponsor a job on Indeed, charges can occur in one or both of the following situations:

  • On the first day of the new month
  • When you reach your billing threshold (the maximum amount you can spend before your payment method is automatically charged).

How to check your billing threshold

  1. Click your account login in the top right corner.
  2. Select Billing and Invoices from the drop-down menu.
  3. Find the Payment method box on the right-hand side. Your billing threshold is listed there.

If your charges don't reach the threshold during a billing cycle, you'll be invoiced on the first day of the next month.

Why might you receive multiple invoices?

You may receive multiple invoices if:

  • You use multiple hiring solutions on Indeed.
  • You reach your billing threshold before the first of the next month.

Example scenarios

  • Threshold = $500
    • If you spend $650 in June → $500 is charged immediately, and $150 is invoiced on July 1.
    • If you spend $1200 in June → $500 is charged twice (as you hit the threshold twice), and $200 is invoiced on July 1.
    • If you spend $450 in June → the $450 is invoiced on July 1.

FAQs

Question: If I close my job post, will I get another invoice?

Answer: Yes, you will receive an invoice the following month. Your monthly billing period will always cover a full calendar month, from the 1st to the last day of the month. For example, if you close out a sponsored job posting mid-month, the invoice will still only be generated at the beginning of the next month when the full billing cycle of a month has been reached.

Question: Will I get one invoice per campaign?

Answer: No, our billing period covers an entire calendar month. If your campaign is spread across several months, you will receive an invoice for every month that your Sponsored Jobs are running.
