Why You Can't Find Your Job on Indeed
There are a few reasons why you may not be able to find your job on Indeed. This article explains how to check if your job is active. We'll also share common reasons jobs might not be visible, and how to fix these issues.
How to check if your job is active
Understanding job relevance
Indeed shows jobs based on relevance. This means:
- Different people get different results based on their search, location, and interests
- Your job may not appear in every search, even when it's active
- The job connects with people who are the best fit
Because of this, searching for your job may not show accurate results.
Check your Company Page
The best way to confirm your job is active:
- Go to your Company Page.
- Find your job in the Jobs tab.
Check your Jobs tab
- Go to the Jobs tab in your employer account.
- Navigate to All jobs to review your open jobs.
- Learn more about how to view your job posts.
Don't search for your own job
Searching for your job on Indeed can be misleading because:
- Search results are personalized
- Your activity affects your search results
- Clicking Sponsored Jobs might use your budget
Reasons why your job isn't visible
Can't find the job on your Company Page? Here are some possible issues and their solutions.
Account or verification issues
Issue: Your account isn't verified.
Problem: Before jobs you posted in your Indeed account can go live, you need to verify your account.
Solution: Follow the steps to verify your account.
Issue: Your account is under review.
Problem: Your account may have reduced visibility while it's under review.
Solution: Contact us for help. Possible reasons for a review are:
- A potential violation of our job posting quality standards
- You need to supply proof of identity

Solution: Set up your billing information and payment method. Learn more about how to pay your Indeed invoices.
Job status or settings
Issue: You paused or closed your job.
Problem: Paused or closed jobs don't appear in search results.
Solution: Change the job's status to Open.
Issue: Your Sponsored Job reached its daily limit.
Problem: Your Sponsored Job is removed from search results once it reaches a daily spend limit.
Solution: The job will be back once the budget is reset the next day. Contact your account executive if you need help adjusting your budget.
Issue: You posted several similar jobs.
Problem: If you've posted similar jobs, we may have grouped them together in the search results. Indeed automatically selects the most relevant job to display.
Solution: Job seekers can select View similar jobs with this employer for a list of all the jobs you posted.
Quality and policy issues
Issue: Your job may not meet our quality standards.
Problem: We may remove jobs that aren't accurate, easy to read, or professional.
Solution: You may need to update the job title or description to reinstate these jobs. Review our job posting quality standards for more information.
Issue: You reposted the job.
Problem: You may have posted a job that appears to be a copy of an existing job already on Indeed. Posting the same job more than once may result in it being hidden or requiring sponsorship.
Solution: Review our policy on job posting integrity and duplicates.
