Third-Party Recruiters and Aggregators

Indeed works with third-party partners to help connect job seekers with jobs. These partners may include staffing firms, ad agencies, and programmatic providers. Each type follows rules to make sure job posts are clear, correct, and easy to apply to.

Approved third parties

Ad agencies and programmatic providers

Ad agencies and programmatic partners can post and sponsor jobs for clients. They help employers manage job ads and get more applicants.

Before setting up a feed, the agency must have an Agency of Record (AOR) from the client.

Your feed must:

  • Only include jobs from one company or its subsidiaries
  • Have job titles and locations that match the real job
  • Send job seekers to the relevant end client's apply page
  • Include unique and correct job listings
  • Be the only visible version (if prioritized by the end client), or the only visible duplicate, of the client's jobs on Indeed
  • Include the client's external reference/requisition number
  • Be sent via secure sFTP (for programmatic feeds)

Your feed must not:

  • Include jobs from job board clients
  • Use title or location expansion
  • Send two identical files or feeds for the same client

Staffing, recruiting, and placement firms

Staffing, recruitment, and placement companies may post jobs if they sponsor their listings. This rule applies in most markets, except Japan and Puerto Rico.

Indeed gives priority to jobs posted directly by employers.

Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) providers may be reviewed individually to determine their relationship with the end client and if the content provided is unique.

Prohibited sources

Aggregators

Aggregators are not allowed on Indeed. Aggregators collect jobs from other websites instead of posting original content. These jobs are often duplicates, missing information, or outdated. They cannot appeal for visibility.

Special cases

Distributors

Distributor content is allowed on Indeed with Sponsored Only visibility if it meets quality standards.

Distributor content should:

  • Come from one XML or Job Sync API feed only
  • Not include any job board content

Integration and quality standards

All third-party partners should follow these best practices:

  • Keep job details correct and up-to-date
  • Avoid duplicate or outdated posts
  • Make sure all apply links work
  • Use secure XML or Job Sync feeds
  • Contact Indeed Support if you need technical assistance

Next steps

If we removed or hid your job post:

  • Make sure your partner is approved
  • Check that the apply link works and the job info is correct
  • Review your feed for errors

Contact Indeed Support if you believe we removed your post by mistake.
