Indeed Apply Policy

Indeed Apply lets people apply for jobs directly on Indeed. This helps make the hiring process faster and easier for both job seekers and employers.

Employers using Indeed Apply are asked to be clear about how they use job seeker data, stay responsible for their setup, and follow Indeed’s standards for how the tool is used.

Transparency

Employers are responsible for explaining what job seeker data they collect and how it will be used.

Indeed may direct job seekers to employers for purposes of data subject access rights for applications sent through Indeed Apply.

Accountability

Employers using Indeed Apply may need to:

  • Agree to Indeed's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  • Share contact information so Indeed can reach them if needed to address potential concerns and communicate any changes about Indeed Apply.
  • Work with Indeed to set up or complete their integration with Indeed Apply.

This helps ensure the job application process runs smoothly and that data is sent correctly.

Standards of Use

To help job seekers have a smooth experience, employers using Indeed Apply must follow these standards:

  • Job seekers must be able to complete a full apply using Indeed Apply. They must not be sent to another site or asked to apply again elsewhere.
  • Indeed Apply and Disposition Sync integrations must be available before Indeed can accept ATS, employer, or third-party job integrations.
  • If present in the external application flow, all screener questions must be replicated in the Indeed Apply setup.
  • All job content, including screener questions, must be legal and comply with Indeed's Terms of Service and Site Rules.
  • US-based ATSes, or ones that support employers with US-based jobs, must include Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) tools when needed.
  • Indeed Apply can be managed by an ATS, an employer, or an Indeed-approved third party chosen by the employer.
  • Indeed must approve any third-party building an integration for an employer before starting.
  • Employers may not post jobs with more than 100 screener questions.
  • Integrations may not improperly share job seeker PII with external parties.

Next Steps

If your job was removed or hidden, you may:

  • Review your post to confirm it uses Indeed Apply correctly.
  • Make sure job seekers can apply directly on Indeed without extra steps.
  • Check that your contact and integration details are up to date.
  • Reduce your screener questions if there are more than 100.
  • Contact Indeed Support if you think your job was removed by mistake.
