Adult Industry Jobs
This policy applies to all employers posting jobs on Indeed. Our goal is to keep job seekers safe. Some adult industry jobs are not allowed because they may put people at risk. We may remove or hide job posts that go against this policy.
Policy requirements
Jobs are not allowed on Indeed if they:
- Ask workers to interact sexually with customers
- Are linked to sex work, human trafficking, or abuse
- Use sexual or suggestive language
- Include content that is offensive, harassing, or sexually targeted
Even if legal in the markets where the jobs are located, these high-risk jobs are not allowed on Indeed.
Examples of high-risk roles
- Stripper
- Dancer
- Adult entertainer
- Adult actor
- Sex worker
- Jobs using unclear titles for sexual services, like "massage" roles
Allowed adult-industry jobs
Employers may post low-risk jobs in the adult industry, such as:
- Technical roles (for example, web engineer or video editor)
- Retail roles (for example, cashier at an adult shop)
- Service roles (for example, cook or janitor at an adult entertainment club)
