Account Verification and Disabled Account Appeals

Indeed reviews employer accounts to protect job seekers and promote platform safety. This article explains how to verify your employer account. We'll also explain how you can appeal a disabled account.

The verification or appeal options available to you may vary. These options are based on your location and account status.

Tip:  If your company already has a verified account, ask your account administrator to add you as a user instead.

Account verification

You may get a banner or prompt in your employer account asking you to verify your account. Click or tap the banner or follow the prompt to choose a verification method.

Verification methods

Work email

  • Receive a one-time code at your company email address.
  • Your email must match your company website.
    • Example: yourname@yourcompany.com

Third-party verification services

  • Use secure third-party identity verification services ID.me or Persona.
  • Visit their website directly for more information.
  • This option is not available in IL, TX, or WA.

Document upload

Upload a business document for verification. We accept one of the following:

  • Utility bill. For example, an invoice for broadband, electricity, or water.
  • Government-issued certificate. For example, a business license or articles of incorporation.
  • Tax permit or license. For example, a sales tax license.
  • Insurance document. For example, a company liability insurance.
  • Industry-specific license. For example, a health inspection or a real estate broker license.
  • Lease or franchise agreement
  • Bank agreement
Important: Not all verification methods may be available to you. These options depend on your location and your account's current status.
