Closing an Account

Option one: From your account settings

Getting started

1. Open your account settings.
2. Click or tap Close my account. This link is located below your email address.
3. Complete the optional account closure survey.

What if a link to "Close my account" is not available?

You may have an employer account. Contact us so we can close this account for you.

What to expect

When you close your account, all associated information will be removed. You can't reactivate this account, but you can always create a new account with the same email address.

Option two: By deleting your data

1. Use the Personal Data Request form.
2. Learn more about requesting or deleting your data.

What to expect

• This action will delete your data and close your account. This process can take up to 30 days. Once you receive confirmation that the request is complete, you can create a new account with the same email address.

• If you have a merged account, deleting your Indeed account means you can't use the same login to sign in to Glassdoor.

What if your Indeed and Glassdoor accounts are linked?

• Closing your Indeed account means you can't use the same login to sign in to Glassdoor.
• You'll still have a Glassdoor account. You'll need to delete your Glassdoor account separately if you want to remove all your data.
• Contact us here if you need help with your merged accounts.

Create a new account using the same email address or a different one.

Issue: I keep getting emails after closing my account.

Solution: Do you have more than one account? Check your email subscriptions to avoid receiving unwanted emails.

Question: Can I pause my account?

Answer: No. However, you can unsubscribe from job alerts, emails, and other notifications in your communication settings.
