Resume Options Menu: Managing a Resume

The Resume options menu helps you manage a resume after you've uploaded a file or created it directly in your account. This page describes the menu and option features.

Important: We're updating this menu and your profile on Indeed. Thanks for your patience as we gradually roll out this improvement.

Getting started

New and existing accounts

  1. Create an account or sign in.
  2. Open the Resume tab.
  3. Select Upload a resume or Build a resume.
    1. Upload a resume lets you add a resume file to your profile.
    2. Build a resume lets you create an resume step-by-step.

Exploring the menu options

Click or tap the three dots on your Indeed Resume or resume file to access the different menu options. 

General options for Indeed Resume and your resume file 

Download

  • Save a copy of your resume file to your computer or device for offline use, sharing, or printing.

Delete

  • Remove the existing resume in your profile.

Options for your Indeed Resume

Tip: Select the pencil icon to edit your Indeed Resume.

Select template

  • Switch between different resume templates.

Share a link to my resume

Copy a link to your profile so you can share it with others:

  • Refresh to generate a new link.
  • Preview your resume before sharing.
  • Copy the link.

Change resume language

  • Select a resume language to make the section headers match your content.

Options for your resume file

Preview

  • Preview your resume on a new page when you upload or replace it, or during the application process.
  • You can also preview your resume when clicking or tapping on it directly from your profile.
  • Zoom in and out by using a pinching motion.

Replace file

  • Replace your existing resume file with a new one.

After uploading your resume

You can apply for a job using this resume or upload a replacement during the application process.
