Resume Options Menu: Managing a Resume

The Resume options menu helps you manage a resume file after you've uploaded it to your account. This page describes the definition and purpose of this menu, option features, and troubleshooting tips.

Important: We're updating this menu and your profile on Indeed. Thanks for your patience as we gradually roll out this improvement.

Getting started

New and existing accounts

  1. Create an account or sign in.
  2. Open the Resume tab.
  3. Select Upload resume if you need to add a resume file to your profile.
  4. Click or tap the three dots next to your resume file, or the three dots next to the resume upload button.

Share a link to my resume

Copy a link to your profile so you can share it with others:

  • Refresh to generate a new link.
  • Preview your resume before sharing.
  • Copy the link.

Block employers

Change profile language

  • Select a resume language to make the section headers match your content.

Preview

  • Preview your resume on a new page when you upload or replace it, or during the application process.
  • Zoom in and out by using a pinching motion.

Download

Sync to profile

  • Update your profile using the details from your resume.
  • Your profile will change to match the information in the uploaded file.
Important: If you merged your Glassdoor and Indeed accounts, selecting Sync to profile will also update your profile on Glassdoor.

Upload to replace resume

  • Replace your existing resume file with a new one.

Delete

  • Remove the existing file in your profile.

After uploading your resume

You can apply for a job using this resume or upload a replacement during the application process.
