Cloudflare Errors: Basic Troubleshooting

Cloudflare is a service that helps protect and speed up websites. Errors usually mean a security setting or network issue blocked or interrupted your connection to the site. While you can't opt out of Cloudflare, following these steps in order may help fix the problem.

Important: Contact us if you're receiving a 403 Forbidden Cloudflare error. We'll need a screenshot or recording of the issue.

Desktop and mobile browsers

Step 1: Disable your browser extensions.

  1. Disable all browser extensions, including privacy-related ones.
    • Examples are McAfee, Norton 360, Survey Junkie, or Surf to Earn.
  2. Reload the page.

Step 2: Turn off the VPN or proxy.

Switch off any VPN or proxy services you're using.

Step 3: Disable ad blockers.

Switch off any ad-blocking extensions or software.

Step 4: Check your browser settings.

  • Use Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox. These browsers give the best experience.
  • Check that your browser is up to date.
  • Enable JavaScript and cookies.
  • Clear your browser cache. Find out how to do this for mobile or desktop browsers.

Step 5: Try incognito mode.

Open your browser in incognito or private mode.

Step 6: Try a different browser.

  1. Open a different web browser.
  2. Make sure there are no extensions for this browser.
  3. Enter the website address to check if it loads.

Mobile app

Step 1: Delete and reinstall the app.

  1. Reinstall the app on your device.
  2. Restart your phone after reinstalling the app.

Step 2: Turn off the VPN or proxy.

Switch off any VPN or proxy services you're using.

Step 3: Clear your cache and cookies.
