Company reviews: best practices, policies and guidelines
This article explains how to write reviews and answer questions on a Company Page. It shows what you can include, what is not allowed and why some posts may be removed. It also explains how to report content that breaks our guidelines and answers common questions.
Best practices
What you can submit
- One review or answer per person, per company
- Reviews or answers only for companies you work for or have worked for
- You may submit questions about the working environment of any company
What you should do
- Share your own, original review based on your time at the company.
- Give your own opinion Don't state opinions as facts.
- Use examples from your own experience.
- Avoid naming or identifying people who are not public figures
- Explain what you liked or did not like You may share constructive suggestions
- Focus on the company's environment and culture.
- Be truthful and accurate Your content should be your own opinion.
What you shouldn't include
- Reviews of the company's products or services
- Jargon, symbols or made-up words
- Someone else's words or content
- Non-public information or legal claims
- Personal information about you or others
If we reject your review, but you believe that it meets our guidelines, you may be able to submit a new one.
Content guidelines
Your anonymity
- Content you submit is anonymous.
- Your account's identifiable details aren't shared with the company.
- Any extra information you include in your content will be visible.
How we handle your content
- We don't edit or change reviews, questions or answers.
- Content that violates Indeed's guidelines or policies may be removed.
- All content is subject to our Terms of Service.
- Company Page content is user-generated We don't guarantee its accuracy or endorse it.
What your content should represent
Your submissions should show:
- Your own opinions
- Your personal experience with the company's working environment
Your experience may involve others. You may only mention people in relation to the workplace, but:
- don't include identifying information about non-public individuals.
- Don't share personal details that aren't related to your workplace experience.
What is not allowed
Content is not allowed if it includes:
- Unlawful, fraudulent, discriminatory, threatening, abusive, libellous or defamatory statements
- Obscene or otherwise inappropriate material
- Sexual, ethnic, racial or other discriminatory slurs
- Suggestions for actions against the company
- Irrelevant or unhelpful content
- Personal details about someone outside their role at a company
- Attempts to make factual claims about the company instead of sharing your experience
Not a place to report misconduct
This platform is not for:
- Reporting crimes
- Sharing internal company details
- Making claims of illegal activity
Indeed reserves the right to remove such content.
Company involvement
An official company representative may claim a Company Page. They can add official information to the page
Review integrity
We may remove reviews if there's evidence that a reviewer was:
- Paid
- Forced or pressured to post content
Reporting Company Page content
How to report content
If you believe that a review or other content breaks our guidelines:
- Click or tap the three dots on the review.
- Select Report review.
- Choose the best reason from the menu
- Click or tap Submit.
What happens next
- We'll review the content and remove it within 1–2 working days if it breaks our guidelines.
- We won't update you about the outcome.

Question: I have uploaded photos, but I can't find them. Has Indeed removed them?
Answer: Yes We have removed the Photos tab from Company Pages and deleted all uploaded photos. These photos are no longer accessible to Indeed.
