Changes to Personal Details in Your Indeed Resume

From 8 April 2026, Indeed no longer includes some sensitive personal details in Indeed Resumes. These details are no longer needed for how Indeed Resume works. This update does not apply to resume files uploaded to your profile.

What changed

We removed the following fields from the Indeed Resume. You can no longer add, edit, or share this information with employers:

  • Citizenship
  • Ethnicity
  • Disability
  • ID (identification) number
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender

These fields no longer appear when creating or updating your resume.

Did you know? This update does not apply to resume files uploaded to your profile. If you upload a file that includes this information, employers may still be able to access it.

What happened to your existing data

  • We removed these fields from Indeed Resumes because they are no longer needed.
  • This information is no longer stored in your Indeed Resume.
  • Employers can no longer access this information through your Indeed Resume.
