Expanding to meet customer needs
To meet growing demand for its globally sourced home furnishings and gifts, Pier 1 launched a new ecommerce site in the fall of 2012. It needed to hire a new team of customer relations specialists to service the site, and turned to Indeed to find those candidates. With a tight window in which to hire, Pier 1 began sponsoring jobs, looking to hire over 100 team members in just four weeks.
“We needed to hire people in a short timeframe,” said Kaye Miller, Director of Talent Acquisition. “We had success with Indeed before and we decided to sponsor jobs for those customer relations roles we knew we needed to fill.”
Sourcing the highest quality hires
For this campaign, Indeed delivered 502 applicants at just $2 per applicant. In the short period of time in which they were hiring, Pier 1 met its quota, filling 75 percent of its open positions with Indeed.
