Industrial Engineer Job Description
Gwynedd Manufacturing, a growing defense contractor located in North Wales, is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility dedicated to producing quality products for the [website] Department of Defense and various [website] Federal Law Enforcement Agencies. We are currently seeking an experienced, results driven Industrial Engineer to work in a fast paced production environment supporting our Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) department
Develop and execute manufacturing process plans for weapon system component manufacturing, continuously improve processes and plans using tools and methods such as statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE), and conceptualize, design and execute tooling requirements.
Identify root causes and corrective action of technical production problems and develop re-work instructions as needed.
Participate in and/or lead process improvement teams and other small project technical teams.
Formulate and execute thin film quality measures using a broad array of metallurgical inspection tools.
Support the development of formal manufacturing technicians and operators training courses and may be required to perform OJT training of supervisors, other engineers and operators.
Continuously learn and apply a wide variety of engineering techniques, contribute to projects in a team environment and will investigate, transfer, and adapt processes, techniques, or methods.
Support and lead projects through the entire life cycle from design and prototype through production.
Education: BS in Industrial Engineering
High attention to detail and organized
Excellent communication skills
2-3 years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
