How to activate Indeed’s Workday integration
Ready to get synced? To activate Indeed’s Workday integration, you must be an Indeed Employer account administrator. You’ll also need to work with a Workday administrator with the correct permissions. If you’re an Indeed account administrator, get started from our detailed Workday Installation Guide.
If you’re not an account admin on Indeed, you’ll have view-only access to Indeed’s Integrations Hub. However, you can quickly and easily send an integration request to your account admin.
2. Go to the Integrations Hub in your Employer Dashboard (click the Account dropdown in the upper right-hand corner and choose Integrations).
3. In the search bar, type “Workday” and click on the Workday tile.
4. Click Request integration.
5. This will populate an email template you can customize and send to your account admin. Once you’ve entered their email and a short message, click Send request. What locations is the Indeed Workday integration available in?
ATS Sync for Workday is available to employers globally, with the exception of Japan and roles using RTL (Right-to-Left) language settings.
What applicant information is transferred to Workday?
Indeed will transfer the data submitted by the applicant, including any saved resume, with the exception of the applicant’s real email address and screener question answers. An Indeed-generated masked email address will populate the email field in the ATS, and that generated email can be used to contact the applicant. Any screener questions set up on Indeed or in the ATS will not be populated via this functionality.
Is every action that I take on Indeed synced with my Workday ATS?
Today, only the initial application information is transferred to the ATS. If you update a candidate in Indeed, those updates will not be reflected in your ATS.
Which applications are transferred to Workday?
All applications that are received after the job link is established will be transferred to your ATS. If you have prior applicants to your Indeed job that you’d like to move to your ATS, you can do so by navigating to the candidate management page that hosts those candidates. From there, select the checkboxes to the left of the candidate names and click the “Export to” button that appears. There is also an Export historical candidates option when linking the job.
Why are my ATS credentials not working to set up the Workday Indeed integration?
If you input your ATS credentials in our setup process, it’s possible that your account doesn’t have the correct permissions with your ATS. Please consult your HR admin to set up the integration. You may also need to contact your Workday rep and obtain one-off credentials to set up an integration. Feel free to reach out to your Indeed CS rep if you’re sure you have the correct permissions but still cannot set up the integration.
How do I link new jobs that I add on Indeed?
Once you’ve created a job, you can link it by clicking the linked rings icon in either the jobs or candidates page. You can also select a set of jobs using the checkboxes to the left of each job and click the link to ATS button.
