Qualifications

· Director’s Credentials/License

· Meet and maintain all requirements for FLVPK

· First Aid and CPR certification

· 3-5 years teaching experience; director experience preferred

· Bachelor’s Degree preferred

General Description

The Preschool Director is responsible for overseeing all operations, including but not limited to staffing, curriculum, program development, safety, facilities, and financial stability. The ideal candidate will have high expectations and work to create a positive Christian environment with and for staff, students, and family to continue the highly respected, quality program here at St. James.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

· Oversees daily operation of the preschool programs

· Facilitates an atmosphere that promotes teamwork, cooperation, and mutual respect

among the staff

· Actively works with teachers to ensure developmentally appropriate, Christian-based

activities are implemented and assessed

· Hires, supervises, supports, evaluates, and terminates staff.

· Coordinates and facilitates staff meetings and trainings

· Establishes and maintains an open, warm, friendly relationship with preschool families

· Manages yearly recruitment, registration, and class placements

· Provides tours to new and prospective families

· Abides by all current state and local regulations for childcare facilities, including required

playground safety.

· Oversees maintenance of the physical facility

· Serves and collaborates with Church staff & congregation as a part of the ministry team

· Leads Preschool Board Meetings

· Prepares annual school budget with the Church Accountant and oversees all accounting

processes for financial accountability

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
