Administrative Assistant On Construction Jobsite
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | On-Site
We’re hiring a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support a fast-paced electrical construction jobsite. This is a hands-on, on-site role supporting the Foreman and Project Manager with daily operations, time entry, scheduling, and communication.
This is an excellent entry point for students or early-career professionals pursuing or considering careers in engineering, construction management, BIM modeling, project management, or the electrical contracting industry. You’ll gain exposure to real-world field operations, project workflow, and trade coordination while building valuable industry experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily administrative support to on-site project leaders (Foreman and Project Manager)
- Enter time for foremen, electricians, and project staff into a self-service payroll portal
- Manage calendars and prioritize meetings, appointments, and inquiries to keep the job running smoothly
- Coordinate PTO and out-of-office calendars with headquarters
- Handle incoming calls, greet visitors, and direct communication with professionalism
- Organize high volumes of information and respond to routine requests by email or phone
- Draft and proofread correspondence, memos, reports, charts, and other project documents
- Coordinate meetings, travel, and jobsite events; assist with setup and cleanup
- Support special projects requested by Project Management, HR, or Executives
- Maintain updated phone lists and handle confidential information with discretion
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Some college or related coursework is a plus)
- 2+ years of administrative experience (construction jobsite experience preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); MS Project a plus
- Excellent organization, time management, and written/verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Professional demeanor and interest in working in a team-oriented, hands-on environment
Details
- Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day between 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM (exact hours may vary)
- Work Setting: Jobsite trailer at an active construction site
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to navigate a construction site (stairs, uneven surfaces); use standard office equipment
- Screening: Background and drug screening required
