The Role:

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our equipment and facilities. Your focus will be on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems. Bring your technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a touch of humor to keep our operations running smoothly. Responsibilities:

· Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on production equipment.

· Respond to maintenance calls, inspections, and projects promptly.

· Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical problems using various tools.

· Troubleshoot VFDs, relays, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and more.

· Utilize precision measuring tools and a variety of power and hand tools.

· Welding, gas cutting, plasma cutting, and fabrication skills.

· Collaborate with the maintenance team, operations management, and other relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED required.

· Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience.

· Experience in manufacturing, preferably in packaging, print, or web handling.

· Familiarity with PLC controls and programming is a plus.

· Welding, fabrication, and mechanical aptitude required.

· Advanced education in a related field (engineering, maintenance, mechanical/automotive) is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

· Ability to use PC, Microsoft Office, and communication devices.

· Proficient in PC usage, Windows Office, and CMMS for inventory, purchasing, and work order data input.

· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and enforce safety procedures.

· Capable of working at elevated heights from a ladder or mobile lift.

· Skilled in the use of hand and power tools applicable to the trade.

· Previous management or leadership experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work involves exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, snow, rain, ice removal, dirt, and/or loud noises.

· Exposure to various elements and physical activity.

· Ability to perform strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds.

· Adherence to basic safety precautions in a potentially hazardous work environment.

· Flexible hours may be required for training or coverage.
