3rd Shift Hardline Automation Lead

Job Summary:

The Harline Automation Lead position will be responsible for day-to-day operation of Hardline Automation Machine 1 and 2. The Hardline Automation Lead will oversee operators, be responsible for overall component and finished good quality monitoring and be responsible for communicating and escalating needs to cross-functional teams for support. The Hardline Automation Lead will be responsible for ensuring throughput and meeting customer needs based on scheduling to both volume and forecast. This role will incorporate a complex set of varied and technical skills to ensure safe and efficient operation for all employees and affected employees. Demonstrable training, experience, and familiarization with robotic systems, camera vision systems, and automated assembly methods are required.

Regular work schedule is Sunday – Thursday 11pm – 7am

*Training will be 7am-3pm Monday - Friday for approximately six weeks*

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $18.00 - $20.00 per hour with a 10% differential for third shift. This is the reasonable estimate for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Pay could be more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.

You will make a difference in the following ways:

• Arrives approximately 20 minutes prior to start of assigned shift and receives daily activity report from Assembly Manager outlining the foals and production priorities for the day.
• Coordinates with previous shift Line Leader to discuss any quality and/or production issues.
• Lead will be required to run production machines as well as keeping up on their daily duties as outlined.
• Ensures safety of the automation assembly team to include the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment, safe handling of materials and proper use of tools.
• Accurately reports daily production sheets and scrap tickets.
• Works directly with planning to schedule production runs and be flexible to change gears at any given time based on production needs.
• Coordinates machine change overs with warehouse/Quality and supplies all necessary paperwork for the changeover.
• Ensures team members can properly perform assigned operation and follows the appropriate quality checks. Provides on-the-job training as needed to ensure quality production.
• Maintains daily production rate of greater than 90%. Reports substandard performance to the Assembly Manager/Supervisor.
• Enforces housekeeping standards/5S and ensures work centers and floors are clean of all debris.
• Encourages teamwork and leads by example.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or GED.
• One year of relatable experience

Knowledge:

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• General computer skills
• Basic mathematical knowledge
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team within a culturally diverse workplace.

Customers Define Our Success: Provide support to the production floor, answer equipment repair and trouble-shooting requests to eliminate machine downtime and ensure continuous production.

Job Types: Full-time, Temp-to-hire

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
