DESCRIPTION

Teaches swimming in accordance with the American Red Cross Learn to Swim Program.

This position will be scheduled some evenings from 5 pm to 8 pm and possible Saturday morning hours.

DUTIES

Teaches swimming classes as scheduled by the Aquatics Director.

Aware of activity in the water and on deck. Communicates YWCA pool rules with participants.

Maintains attendance reports.

Completes report cards at the end of swimming term.

Attends any meetings as requested by the Aquatics Director.

Adheres to YWCA York policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or general equivalency diploma required.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Certifications required:
oLifeguard Certificate
oCPR and First Aid
oWater Safety Instructor
