This position will be based in our Moorpark, CA facility but will also be responsible for the Quality function located in Minden, Germany and Tijuana, Mexico.

Provide direction for the development and implementation of quality strategies, programs and policies. Ensures appropriate audit structure for system documentation to maintain QS900 and TS16949 conformance and Customer Satisfaction. Provides technical leadership for product testing and quality assurance for Operations. The Director will work with Operations and Quality staff to establish goals, track past, present and future performance and present results to senior management.

Duties & Responsibilities: 1)Formulates and directs quality strategies, policies and procedures for automated, high volume transportation & industrial manufacturing. 2)Direct the daily operation of the Quality function through subordinate managers; ensure efficient, safe operation and the accomplishment of plant goals and objectives. 3)Establish expectations and goals consistent with plant and Business Team goals for employees reporting to them and monitor and document performance to those standards. 4)Directs continuous effort for process and product improvements particularly Lean & Six Sigma.

5)Prepare departmental operating plans. 6)Review, implement and document procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection. 7)Directs and coordinates production activities to ensure quality standards are met. 8)Maintain a corrective action system such that causes for product defects are identified and preventive action programs are maintained to improve quality.

9)Review root-cause analysis and other problem solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements. 10)Review and maintain the effectiveness of the supplier control programs, work with key management personnel to monitor vendor rating program that promotes improvement in supplier quality and delivery. 11)Work with customers management to ensure our systems, controls, and vendor ratings are such that we develop and maintain a position as a preferred supplier. 12)Position may require up to 25% travel.

Qualifications: 1)Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Quality Engineering preferred) from an accredited college or university. MBA or MS degree highly preferred 2)Minimum of 10 years of related experience. 3)Extensive experience implementing and managing a high volume, lean manufacturing and distribution operation. 4)Knowledge of manufacturing systems, producti
