Position Summary: In this exciting and challenging opportunity, the successful candidate will be r esponsible for the overall activity of the distribution center, including customer service, safety, receiving, transportation, warehousing, equipment/building maintenance/repair operations and office/business administration tasks. You will manage the processes, performance and financial profitability involved in daily activities of the distribution center to achieve established operating income and ROA goals. You will also be accountable for adhering to and promoting Company values by performing duties in a manner that is consistent with being a team leader, and support the continued growth of the company.

Duties include:
§ Supporting, managing and analyzing DC customer service functions to continuously improve all levels of customer satisfaction.
§ Regularly monitors the interaction between CSRs and customers to ensure a congruent approach with Stellar Service techniques; provides direct feedback and outlines recommendations for improvement as necessary.
§ Serves as liaison between customer service and warehouse/delivery staff to resolve issues and maintain focus on the customer.
§ Builds customer relationships and gains insight on sales-related issues pertaining to the performance of the DC by participating in customer visits.

§ Analyzing and managing the warehousing and delivery functions to continuously improve the efficiency levels and safety.
§ Develops and establishes necessary staffing systems, processes and procedures to ensure consistent, accurate and timely customer order fulfillment.
§ Investigates shipping and receiving errors and implements corrective action plans; works with Credit Department to resolve billing discrepancies, payment deductions and shipment errors.
§ Works in conjunction with the regional Buyers and Supply Chain Managers to coordinate product movement, warehouse space requirements and stock rotation.
§ Develops plans for selling aged inventory in partnership with Sales team and regional Buyers.
§ Monitors and approves all freight transactions, including review of freight adders on a semi-annual basis.
§ Oversees the annual physical inventory process and regularly scheduled cycle counts.
§ Develops systems, processes and procedures to optimize equipment and related resources, including effective material movement and logistics, while delivering value to our customers.
§ Reviews and analyzes productivity reports on a daily basis.

§ Monitoring and evaluating expectations and performance of DC staff through coaching and development opportunities.
§ Facilitates the hiring process of DC staff.
§ Provides motivational and developmental leadership to DC staff on a daily basis; conducts semi-annual performance reviews for direct reports.
§ Establishes performance objectives and training plans; conducts strategic planning for the facility.
§ Creates a safe and compliant work environment by providing adequate safety training; conducts monthly safety meetings and completes training as determined by HSE; updates all HSE training documentation in B2B database as required.

§ Overseeing and managing the daily operations of the DC to achieve specific operating income and ROA goals .
§ Promotes a high level of customer focus; creates an environment that encourages teamwork, customer satisfaction, productivity and mutual respect between team members and following the Integrity Service model.
§ Reports all payroll hours and time off requests; monitors overtime hours for all personnel; ensures adequate staff coverage.
§ Reviews monthly financial statements and investigates variances against budget; identifies areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reductions.
§ Collaborates with Vice President of Operations and Regional Operations Manager to budget capital expenditures and annual operating budget for the facility.
§ Collaborates with other DCMs to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives; works with ROM to implement Best Practices.
§ Implements Best Practices as they relate to manufactured goods such as slitting, material re packaging and quick tint operations.

Success Requires:
§ A minimum 5 years supervisory experience, in addition to progressively responsible experience in a manufacturing or distribution company, preferably in the composites industry, to include experience in supply chain, distribution, warehouse and/or logistics sectors.
§ In-depth knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials; advanced understanding of transportation and logistics and associated safety documentation requirements, and the distribution process workflow.
§ Bachelors Degree in Business, or related field, strongly preferred.
§ Occasional travel, up to 10%.
§ Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
§ Ability to effectively supervise employees, including ability to mentor, evaluates and guide staff to increase skill level, morale and efficiency.
§ Ability to delegate responsibility and authority to maximize use of employees’ skills.

§ Proficient in MS Office software, including Word and Excel; ability to learn internal database and software systems, i.e. MXP; experience working in a Windows environment; experience with Google sites, Gmail and Google Chrome helpful.

This is a full-time position, with varying hours. Occasional travel required.
