We are currently recruiting for a Human Resource (Development) Expert based at our Mills River, NC facility.

Position will support and on-going development of strategic Human Resources initiatives, including driving local training and development initiatives, organizational design, and the cultivation of a successful and performance based business culture.

Responsibilities:
  • Support development and maintenance of pervasive safety culture. Working closely with safety professionals to improve content, delivery, and effectiveness of safety topic training (focus on instructional techniques and measurement systems – will not create content or deliver training).
  • Support the strategic direction of the company thought support of learning culture and continuous improvement environment of the company through active engagement in planning and coordination of personal and professional development efforts, to meet the needs of departments, teams, and individuals.
  • Coaching managers on optimization of existing development tools, and working to ensure appropriate linkages thus facilitating capture of synergies and alignment.
  • Design, implement, and support ongoing development of effective on-boarding, orientation and competence development of blue collar employees which supports high performance and continuous improvement culture. Align processes to support ISO certification.
  • Responsible for collaborating with managers to identify and source required training. Focus is on meeting local / regional needs for the Engineered Materials Business Group. Will serve as primary liaison with local service providers (i.e. Community Colleges or other sources) to define content, and coordinate delivery of training.
  • Manage HR related communications, include content management on regional HR Intranet sites and coordination of HR topics for general communication purposes.
  • Coordination with regional and global People Development resources regarding development needed common needs and implementation of global development initiatives. May participate in global teams to provide feedback regarding program content, execution, and implementation.
  • Will assist in the compilation of training materials, including assistance in compiling process documentation, training aids, and measurement methods.
  • Coaching and counsel, and facilitate continued development of managers and supervisors in as related to development opportunities for managers and their direct reports.
  • Manage HR-related projects as needed.
  • Support business projects either as an HR representative or as facilitator.
  • Facilitate 360 review processes upon request.
  • Perform all duties in full compliance of all laws, safety and environmental regulations, and in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications: Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a BS in HR Development, HR Management, Business Administration or related field and minimum 3-5 years professional Human Resource Development / Training coordination experience. Must have experience in planning, designing, implementation and execution of comprehensive training programs, including practical skill development, on-the-job-training programs, and / or Leadership Development. Prefer candidate with exposure to international cross-functional teams. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to relate well with a diverse constituency, and ability to adapt to changing demands in a dynamic environment. Requires excellent organizational skills and proficiency with MS Office applications. Travel up to 50%, including international travel, may be required.
