Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To control the inventory accuracy between SAP, the physical inventory, and the general ledger and work with warehouse personnel, DTF Operations, and the contract labor group to make continuous improvements with regards to inventory management at the plant.

SCOPE OF POSITION:
Position is directly responsible for the accuracy of ~ $10MM of plant controllable and ~ $2.5MM of finished product inventories.

Position interfaces with DTF operations, the contract labor group, shipping, and plant/business management

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accurately maintain inventory balances between perpetual and SAP in order to preserve inventory integrity, Ensure appropriate procedures/processes are in place to assist with day-to day inventory movement and material storage.

Lead teams of employees i.e. DTF Operations and the contract labor group, to form continuous improvement projects around inventory accuracy issues and see them through to completion

Make inventory adjustments for invalid rolls, 0002 slitting material, samples, cycle count corrections, triax log sheets, customer returns, and waste rolls

Make the month end reclaim material entry

Monitor the system for aged semi-finished and finished product inventories and help make the proper disposition decisions.

Function as “subject matter expert” on difficult stock correction and inventory related issues. Duties include, but not limited to:

Assist DTF and contract personnel in inventory related transactions and movements.

Liaison with BPI team to correct issues and implement continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or applicable degree and/or equivalent experience

3-

5 years of experience in supply chain management, inventory management, or related field

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong leadership and continuous improvement abilities

Strong organizational skills

6-Sigma certification preferred, but not required
