Job Description:
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
The blending/coating/slitting operator performs all the
general duties and operations to manufacture the
product. An operator will operate machines and handle
components using prescribed standard operating
procedures and cGMP guidelines to manufacture and ensure
the product meets the quality requirements. The operator
will complete the necessary documentation and records to
maintain quality control
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Operate coating and slitting machines.
  • Blend various ingredients for the coating process
  • Perform manual operations when automated systems are
inoperable.
  • Check and weigh components to ensure compliance.
  • Clean production room and equipment.
  • Perform duties as trained and assigned.
  • Maintain a clean organized work area.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing
environment.
  • Must meet medical requirements for personal protective
equipment (PPE) used in manufacturing.

Job Requirements:
ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: High school diploma with 2 year
experience in a blending, coating, or slitting
environment or 4 years in a blending, coating, or
slitting operation in lieu of educational requirement
Candidate must demonstrate mechanical aptitude, ability
to speak, read and write in the English language and
demonstrate the ability to perform basic mathematical
calculations.
SCOPE
JUDGMENT / DECISION MAKING: Ability to ascertain that
work complies with approved standards and meets the
prescribed guidelines of Noven Pharmaceuticals Inc.
Employee must demonstrate the ability of adhering to
stringent documentation requirements and work under
moderate supervision of an LMO.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: Limited to component and raw
material costs
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR CONTACTS: Must work well with
quality assurance, maintenance and distribution
personnel as well as immediate supervision
WORKING CONDITIONS
ENVIRONMENT: Plant floor, pharmaceutical products
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee is occasionally required
to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Must
demonstrate the ability to lift and or move 50 pounds or
greater.
OTHER: Additional hours, off-shift or weekend work may
be required to meet schedules. May be required to work
with toxic materials and meet essential DEA
requirements.
