The Circleville, OH site is one of three primary manufacturing locations for the production of KaptonR polyamide film produced by the Circuits and Packaging Materials business unit within DuPont. This business unit is part of DuPont's Electronic Technologies Businesses. Electronic Technologies is comprised of five high growth global businesses supplying a very broad array of materials to the electronic industry. Facilities consist of polymer manufacturing, film casting, and numerous converting operations such as coating, heat treatment, and extensive slitting. The Circleville site is located approximately 30 miles south of Columbus, OH. The site currently manufactures KaptonR film, TedlarR film, TeflonR film and VespelR resin. There is an existing group of experienced Process Engineers currently supporting these manufacturing lines. The position will provide process technical support to meet customer needs for the Business. The support will be provided by:
  • Identifying and leading specific improvement projects targeted at improving the cost of manufacturing, first pass yields and process capability.
  • Developing and implementing process upgrades to improve film quality to meet the demanding electronics market requirements.
  • Driving process safety management to identify, understand, and control process hazards.
  • Analyzing equipment uptime detractors and implementing improvements to increase capacity.
  • Assisting the manufacturing group with day-to-day operational issues.
  • Aiding in short-term process or equipment development programs.
  • Defining, establishing, and verifying process performance versus Customer requirements.
  • Interfacing with internal customers on addressing quality issues.
Minimum requirements: BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience; Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience (Co-Op experience is considered) Core competencies: Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical and chemical processes and methodologies applicable to a manufacturing operation. Solid demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills. Solid demonstrated electro/mechanical troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Strong interpersonal skills to both network and to be an effective team leader. Ability to motivate others to achieve results. Ability to handle multiple tasks and a high volume workload with shifting and competing priorities. Strong teamwork and organization skills. Other desired experience: 5+ years previous manufacturing experience Minor Project engineering experience <$250,000 Ability to learn and apply Six Sigma methodology in daily work activities.
