You will be working with leading edge products that are enabled by: world class Photonic Integrated Circuit technology, sophisticated optics, custom ASICs, coherent DSP, advanced firmware and control algorithms.
This position is a key role in a very collaborative environment to develop sophisticated test solutions for Infinera’s complex optical telecommunications products, including photonic integrated circuit based ultra-high speed line cards, ROADMs, and optical amplifiers.

Your Key Responsibilities Would Include:
Responsible for the development of test solution of cutting-edge ultra-high speed DWDM line cards, ROADMs, and amplification/multiplexing/switching modules
Key member of development, support, and continual maturing of automated test infrastructure using Visual Basic.NET and Microsoft SQL Server
Key member to define detailed testability requirements, specifications, and document test plan/procedure
Provide fault isolation and identification capability to manufacturing technical staff
Responsible for refining process and strategy to drive failures earlier and improve manufacturing throughput
Responsible for statistical analysis of product test parameters and equipment measurements

Education & Experience Necessary For Success:
MS, PhD preferred in science, or (Electrical Engineering, Physics, and Optics)
Proven ability to develop software and hardware for automated test solutions of ultra-high speed fiber optics communication systems/sub-modules
Hands on experience with electrical and optical test and measurement equipment
Familiarity with QPSK/QAM theory, optical test including OSNR/BER/Eye diagram measurements, EDFA characterization, WDL/PDL/optical frequency measurements
Practical experience defining test criteria based on product specification, error of measurement
Proficient in VB.NET or C++ or Visual Studio, and SQL DB
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic to learn cutting-edge technologies, analytic, detail-oriented, with great quantitative analysis skills, self-motivated, a great team leader, able to pro-actively communicate with all employees and work well in a fast paced environment
Minimum of 5-8 years experience with telecom/networking industry
