ITW Coding Products, located in Kalkaska, Michigan and a division of a Fortune 150 company, specializes in the development and manufacture of standard and custom printing ribbons for a variety of applications. ITW Coding Products is currently seeking one (1) hard-working, dependable individual with a stable work history interested in employment as a Slitter (machine) operator. This is a 3rd shift positions, working Sun - Thurs 10:00 pm to 6:30 am.

Responsibilities include:
Set up and operate slitting machine to convert jumbo rolls of coated polyester film into smaller rolls per customer specifications.
Make machine adjustments as needed during operation.
Inspect product quality check to ensure product meets customer specification.
Use computer to perform data entry of production information and print labels.
Pack product and prepare for shipment.
Clean equipment and parts between product runs.
Use hydraulic lifts and/or hand carts to handle/move supplies, materials, finished product and boxes.
Assist other operators as needed; may be required to cross-train on other machines or processes.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Adhere to all work, safety, quality and housekeeping standards/rules

Job Requirements

Job Requirements include:
High school diploma or equivalent. Prior manufacturing/machine operator experience preferred.
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Basic math skills and reasoning ability
Good verbal and written communication skills
Must be dependable and punctual
Physical requirements include constant standing and handling/manipulating; frequent walking, bending, twisting/turning, reaching outward and upward, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs., and pushing/pulling; occasional sitting and typing/keyboarding.
