ACA (Affordable Care Act) Reporting Specialist Seasonal Position – variable hour

We are currently looking for a few outstanding people to join our ACA Reporting team with HR Service Inc. We will begin training on October 28th and the season goes through April 4th, 2025.

ACA Reporting is a niche job, and it is not for everyone. Please read the requirements below before you apply!

We are looking for people who…

  • Like to learn complicated rules and processes (ACA reporting is an IRS function)
  • Like to solve problems and enjoys figuring out puzzles and patterns
  • Is able to take a complicated subject and explain it to clients to gather the information needed for the reporting
  • Is efficient, detail oriented and organized
  • Have a lot of integrity in the hours they work and the product they produce
  • Is able to work independently, but is also a great team player
  • Aren’t afraid to ask questions when they don’t know the answer
  • Able to effectively manage their time and meet all deadlines
  • Is able to hold clients accountable for their part in the reporting while maintaining professional and respectful customer service
  • Is pretty awesome in Excel. We are not looking for an “expert”, but we need people who know how to…

o figure out ages from birth dates

o enter in formulas

o clean up data to meet required character restrictions

o sort, filter, freeze rows and columns

o know how to use comma delimited

o create tabs and worksheets

o able to effectively move data around – without losing the integrity of the data

o And more…bottom line, you know your way around Excel

o It’s a bonus if you know how you use the XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables – although we can teach you that.

  • Able to quickly learn and navigate multiple reporting systems and cloud technology
  • Excellent comprehensive reading skills
  • Able to communicate effectively in writing and on the phone with team members and clients with the ability to articulate concepts and ideas
  • Must be willing to attend virtual meetings with clients and team members
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and handle escalated client issues when applicable

We are also looking for people who can:

  • Commit to at least a 4-day a week schedule with consistent hours.
  • Work remotely.
  • Train virtually.
  • Can commit to training from October 28th – January 10th, 2025, with Thanksgiving and the Friday after off. We will also be taking a two-week break from December 23rd – January 3rd.
  • Training will be Monday-Thursday from 9:00-1:00 Mountain Time.
  • Work at an hourly rate that starts at $16.00 through training and, if training is completed successfully, there may be up to a $2.00 per hour increase for the remainder of the season.
  • And…for those who finish the season successfully, they may be eligible for up to a $1000 bonus at the end of the season based on predetermined criteria including number of accounts successfully completed in a timely manner, attention to detail and excellent customer service.

Job Duties:

  • Learn ACA Reporting Requirements and Regulations
  • Be able to know ACA reporting well enough that you can answer questions, conduct research, and help clients with their reporting requirements
  • Learn to use multiple systems for reporting and e-filing, storage, and tracking
  • Work with clients via phone and email to explain the ACA Reporting process and provide them with the forms and spreadsheets required to collect the required information
  • Keep track of client status with reporting process to ensure deadlines are met
  • Extensive manipulation and customization of Excel data to create the required template to run forms
  • Enter benefit and employer data for required forms along with employee monthly counts
  • Prepare 1095/1094 B & C forms using a proprietary internal reporting system
  • E-File prepared forms in e-filing partner system
  • QC (quality check) forms and data for yourself and others
  • Regular and consistent attendance and dependability

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week

Schedule:

  • 4 hour shift
  • Day shift
