Fuel Me is a high-growth, first of its kind, cloud based technology platform that allows on-road and off-road customers nationwide to purchase fuel such as clear or red dye diesel for their trucks, machinery, generators, or tanks - anywhere and at anytime. Fuel Me simplifies the fuel procurement process while enabling customers to manage all purchases on a single platform, optimizing operations and administrative procedures while providing extensive cost savings.

The Account Manager will play a crucial role in leading our existing client relationships to new heights. Your extensive experience and expertise in enterprise-level account management will drive client success and contribute to the continued growth diverse set of customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: The primary focus is to cultivate and sustain relationships with a broad spectrum of enterprise clients, ranging from small-scale operations to large-scale Fortune 500 companies. This responsibility spans across multiple industries, notably transportation and construction. The role involves a deep understanding of each client's unique fuel requirements and preferences, ensuring that their specific needs are met with Fuel Me's comprehensive services.
  • Issue Resolution and Triage: Serve as the primary contact for resolving operational and pricing issues. This includes addressing concerns related to a wide array of products (like diesel, CNG, LPG, kerosene, etc.) and services (like on-road/off-road delivery, emergency services, etc.).
  • Operational Coordination: Coordinate with Fuel Me's nationwide vendor network to ensure timely and efficient fuel delivery across the US, even in remote locations. Manage logistical challenges associated with a diverse product range and various delivery services.
  • Pricing Management: Oversee and negotiate pricing arrangements, leveraging Fuel Me's flexible pricing structure and co-op purchasing advantages. Ensure pricing strategies align with market rates and company policies.
  • Feedback and Reporting: Collect and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement in service delivery. Regularly report on customer experiences and service performance metrics.
  • Product and Service Knowledge: Maintain extensive knowledge of Fuel Me's product offerings (like hydrogen, marine fuel, DEF, etc.) and services (like bulk fuel delivery, mobile fleet fueling, retail fueling, etc.), including their pros and cons.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage actively with various departments, particularly with technology teams and senior management, to ensure seamless functioning of Fuel Me's technology platform. Our focus as a service-based company is on efficiently solving the complex fueling needs of our customers. This includes overseeing the integration and smooth operation of key services such as fuel delivery, invoicing, and tank monitoring.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure services comply with industry standards and company policies, maintaining a focus on effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Crisis Management: Manage unexpected operational challenges effectively, especially in emergency service deliveries.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery, especially by leveraging Fuel Me's technology platform for efficiency and cost savings.
  • Data Accuracy and Tech Portal Management: Ensure accurate and up-to-date data within Fuel Me's technology platform. Address any discrepancies and collaborate closely with IT and tech teams for system integrity.
  • Routine Business Reviews: Conduct regular reviews with clients to assess service performance, discuss fuel management strategies, and identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Utilize data and analytics from Fuel Me's platform for informed discussions.
  • Technology Integration and Support: Assist clients in utilizing Fuel Me's technology platform, including the mobile and desktop app, for scheduling deliveries, monitoring fuel levels, and tracking consumption.
  • After-Hours Support Coordination: Establish and manage a robust after-hours support system to ensure continuous, uninterrupted service for our clients. This role involves coordinating with team members and setting up protocols to address urgent client needs outside of regular business hours, ensuring reliability and responsiveness in critical situations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in senior/enterprise-level account management or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of the value of technology and how to demonstrate it.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Extensive experience in building and maintaining high-value client relationships.
  • Deep knowledge of fuel management and related industries, including an in-depth understanding of client contracts, vendor relations, and pricing strategies preferred
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strong emphasis on data analysis and interpretation to demonstrate cost savings and value.
  • Exceptional organization, detail orientation, and strategic thinking.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred
