About the Role
The successful candidate supports the Accounting Department by performing routine accounting duties. Maintains various accounting related records, verifies data received, prepares necessary reports and records for Accounting. Must possess analytical skills, attention to detail, problem solving, research abilities and solid communication abilities.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile bi-weekly ADP payroll reports, ADP Payroll experience a plus.
- Maintain and map ADP job codes to Sage 100 General Ledger Accounts
- Bi-weekly ADP Payroll and Job Cost journal entries posted to Sage 100 and reconcile payroll account reconciliations.
- Process Job Cost Transfers Entries for job cost transfers and job close outs.
- Reconcile monthly inventory transactions between ECI Max and Sage 100.
- Work with the Inventory team on monthly cycle accounts and reconciling inventory transactions.
- Prepare monthly closing journal entries and maintain reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions in Sage ERP. Sage experience a plus.
- Perform various analyses on specific General Ledger accounts.
- Compile data and schedules required for audits and tax filings.
- Compile information for annual general liability and health insurance renewals and monthly reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end close process.
- Backup for Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Accounts Receivable.
- Must be precise, detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to meet constant stream of deadlines.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with accounting software and programs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook and Excel.
- Communicate effectively written and verbally with employees and management.
- Excellent communication skills, exudes attention to detail and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or Associates Degree in Accounting.
- 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience in a manufacturing desired.
- Knowledge of ERP systems desired.
- Sage 100 / ECI Max/ ADP Payroll experience a plus.
- Ability to explain complex technical issues to other functions in clear and understandable terms.
- Ability to meet aggressive program deliverables.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel are a plus, including creating formulas and pivot tables.
