Accounts Receivable Representative

Job Description_____________________________________________________________

Summary/Objective

The Accounts Receivable provides administrative support to the accounting department; undertakes clerical tasks such as typing, filing, making phone calls, handling mail, and basic bookkeeping.

Essential Functions

· Maintains Payments spreadsheet

· Assists the AR Supervisor in billing

· Assists the AR Supervisor in sending invoice to customers

· Assure that pro-rate and customers’ invoices are process in a timely matter

· Taking payment on the phone, run credit card, and E-check payments

· Process and scanning of completed service paperwork and save in customer’s virtual file

· Applying lockbox, ACH, credit card, and checks in the system

· Respond to customer invoice question and concern in a timely matter

· Reconciling of payments to assure that they match bank statement report

· Make sure route board work orders are closed out and invoiced.

· File and maintain customer’s contracts

· Review multiple reports to assure that paperwork is enter correctly and information is not missing on customer’s account.

· Making sure that service prices, landfills, and route are set up correctly on customer’s account to avoid invoice errors.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Minimum 3 years of accounting experience

High School

Specific experience in month-end close

Preferred Education and Experience

Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in a small to mid-sized company
