TITLE: Care Ministry Assistant (Administrative Assistant)
Dept/Ministry: Care
Supervisor: Care Pastors
Work Hours: Part Time ~25 hours a week (Sunday through Thursday)
FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
ROLE SUMMARY
Provide administrative support for the Care Ministry Team as Compass leads people to find and follow Jesus in our community and our world.

PRIMARY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following:
- Implement assignments given by the Care Pastor related to the ministry area. Being proactive and taking initiative in order to make those things happen.
- Administration of weekly and ongoing ministry events including coordinating with other ministries to ensure the event is set up for success.
- Preparation and processing of financial paperwork related to the ministry including Purchase Orders, Visa Reconciliation, Check Requests, etc.
- Purchasing supplies and/or food for ministry programming and events.
- Managing the pastor’s calendar by making appointments, scheduling meetings, and resolving any calendar conflicts. This may also include helping the pastor stay on schedule by reminding them of upcoming meetings or helping them to end meetings on time.
- Taking notes during meetings that include recording decisions, assignments, next steps, etc.
- Receive and screen incoming calls, take clear messages, and return calls.
- Web updating for care and marriage ministry information and programming.
- Scheduling for all campus activities for care and marriage.
- POC scheduling and reminders for daily POC.
- Coordinating Care Pastor and Care Associate schedules for meetings during office hours.
- Coordinating all Rock database support functions for care, marriage and POC needs.
- Master calendar coordination with care, marriage and all training activities.
- Managing the volunteer lists and coordinating between the care, marriage and care support volunteer communications.
- Coordinating the supplies for curriculum, copies and signage for all care and marriage ministry needs
- Sending branded regular communications to volunteers and attenders for all care and marriage functions, programs and events.
- Volunteer team building for help with check-in activities for Rock, Signup Genius and special events
- Any other assignments relating to the Care & Marriage Ministry areas.
ONGOING EXPECTATIONS
- Live out CCC Church strategy by engaging in a lifestyle of worship, community and serving.
- Live out the CCC Staff Values in relationships with other staff, congregation, and community.
- Empower volunteer Team Members by developing an Ephesians 4:12 culture in your ministry areas resulting in a high level of engagement.
- Serve at CCC Holiday Events and Special Events (e.g. Easter, Christmas, etc.). This might mean a change in your weekly schedule so that no overtime occurs.
- Intentionally mentor and/or coach all volunteer Team Members towards increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.
- Maintain a balanced work schedule, working with CCC HR Team to keep track of vacation days, sick days, days off, make-up days, personal days etc.
- Maintain a flexible working schedule as determined by the needs of the ministry.
QUALIFICATIONS
This person must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience as an administrative assistant in a large church, business setting, or equivalent. They also need to have spiritual giftedness in the areas of leadership, administration, and hospitality.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, and use hands and fingers.
- The employee is occasionally required to move about inside the office to access other employee offices or office machinery.
- Occasionally needs to stoop, kneel, or crouch to fill work on copy machine and put away office supplies.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

- Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic).
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
- Typical church environment large and small group gatherings that include loud music.

Pay: From $18.50 per hour
