We are seeking an Administrative Assistant for our office in Lansing, Michigan, to support our managers and employees. The ideal candidate has excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to organize work using tools such as Microsoft Excel and office equipment. Previous experience as a secretary or executive administrative assistant and familiarity within the construction industry is a plus. Ultimately, a successful Administrative Assistant ensures efficient and smooth day-to-day operations of our office.

We are looking to grow our team to complete projects in the Lansing, Jackson, Battle Creek and Kalamazoo areas starting in early May. Due to COVID-19, interviews and orientation may be completed remotely.


  • Answer and direct phone calls.
  • Organize and schedule appointments.
  • Plan meetings and take detailed minutes.
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.
  • Develop and maintain a filing system.
  • Update and maintain office policies and procedures.
  • Order office supplies.
  • Maintain contact lists.
  • Provide general assistance to visitors.
  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients.
  • Coordinate with executive and senior administrative assistants to handle requests and queries from senior managers.
  • Assist with property management including unit showings, inspections, bank runs, and QuickBooks reports.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • QuickBooks experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, such as printers and fax machines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint, in particular).
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • High school diploma.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $13.00 to $15.00 /hour
