Adult Program Coordinator

Job Summary: The Adult Program Coordinator oversees the adult education programming, which includes English Language Learners, Spanish Classes, Computer Skills Classes,
Citizenship Classes and other basic educational services to adult learners. The Coordinator will report to the Director of Community Engagement, and is expected to think strategically about the needs of the community related to adult education. It is the Coordinator’s responsibility to devise and execute plans to meet said needs that will drive engagement with
La Casa de Amistad.

1. Implement and manage a schedule of regular adult programs and special events.
2. Plans, organizes, implements, and provides management for volunteers, contractors, and staff.
3. Develop a curriculum of adult programming with community partners, as needed.
4. Plan and execute community workshops on topics that include: Powerschool, Job

Applications, Job Search Skills, Social Media, etc.
5. Create and perform assessments with community partner instructors to measure adult learner outcomes before and after programs.
6. Assess program success through surveys and attendance tracking, and provide monthly reports to the Director of Community of Engagement.
7. Maintain and organize Tech Hub, classrooms and workshop spaces as needed.
8. Teach regular adult education programs as needed.
9. Create print and electronic promotional materials, and collaborate on regularly scheduled media content for adult programming including radio and Facebook/Instagram Live feeds.
10. Maintain and increase knowledge of new technology to track emerging trends and emerging tools for digital access
11. Oversee the Digital Assistance Program a. Help clients search for and complete job applications online i. Managing and updating job posting ii. Assist clients with writing cover letters, resumes or other paperwork b. Assist clients with online forms (BMV, Insurance, Social Security, etc.)
12. Translation of documents, pamphlets, fliers, brochures, birth certificates, etc.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities % of Time

Adult Programs 60%

Translations 25%

Digital Assistance 10%

Other duties as assigned 5%

● Fluent in both Spanish and English
● 2 to 5 years of experience teaching or working with clients on technology is required
● High School Diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred
● Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office products, Gmail, Google Drive, and database systems. Familiarity with graphics creation software, such as Canva is a plus.
● Independently plan, organize and coordinate work on many projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong attention to detail.
● Work a flexible schedule that includes some evenings and weekends.
● Verbal, numerical and literacy skills in Spanish and English, preferred
● Organization and planning skills
● Flexibility, Reliability, Teamwork, and good Communication is a must

● This is a full-time position (36-40 hours per week) and pay range is $17-$19 hourly, based on experience. M-Th 9-6PM, F 9AM-12PM, and other times as needed for special events.
● Bi-weekly accrued PTO (Paid Time Off) and eight paid holidays
