Adult Sports Basketball Official

Our sports officials help facilitate games for a multitude of Adult Sports leagues. Officials strive to apply rules, promote fair play, while demonstrating courtesy, self-control, integrity and are non-bias.

Employment Dates: Spring Season, March 10th to June 1st

There is potential to stay on staff for the following season depending on performance.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, approximately 5:45pm-10:30pm

The number of participants in each sport determines the final schedule & staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Have the necessary knowledge to officiate and apply the rules related to the sport listed above.
• Apply the rules related to the sport equally for all teams.
• Address player behaviors as needed and de-escalate high emotions.
• Fill out scorecards with necessary information.
• Communicate calls, fouls, warnings, and ejections with site directors.

Who We're Looking For:

We’re seeking people with officiating or playing experience who understand the adult sports environment and the value of creating position experiences for participants. They must also provide great customer service, enjoy interacting with the public, be problem solvers, and have good communication skills both written and verbal.

Minimum Qualificiations:

• All supplemental questions answered clearly & completely.
• Resume attached and readable, Indeed resumes okay
• Holds at least one role for 3 months or more and has no pattern of unexplained/excessive short job durations.

At least one of the following relevant or transferable experiences:

• Recreation, childcare, education, coaching/officiating or camp experience
• Customer service or public-facing role with responsibilities -
• Volunteer, school, or leadership experience demonstrating accountability or position experience.

Work Location: Varies by sport

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $20.00 per hour
