Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of advanced esthetic treatments, including chemical peels, microdermabrasion, laser treatments, and microneedling.
• Conduct thorough skin analyses and consultations to determine the best treatments.
• Educate patients about skincare routines and recommend top-quality products for home care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment schedules.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations for a safe and confidential environment.
• Collaborate with medical professionals and other staff to deliver outstanding services.
• Stay updated on the latest esthetic techniques and industry trends.

Qualifications:

• Esthetician License: Complete an approved esthetician program (at least 750 hours) from a Texas licensed beauty school and pass the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) esthetician written and practical exams.
• Advanced Esthetician Certifications (Optional but Beneficial): Certifications in advanced esthetic techniques such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, laser treatments, and microneedling.
• Medical Esthetician Certification: Additional training or certification in medical esthetic procedures is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid Certification: Certification in CPR and First Aid to handle any emergencies during treatments.
• Continuing Education: Complete continuing education requirements as mandated by TDLR for license renewal every two years.
• Experience and Training in Medical Spa Treatments: On-the-job training or experience in a medical spa setting.
• Laser Hair Removal Certification: Complete a laser hair removal training program approved by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and obtain certification.
• Dermaplaning Certification: Training and certification in dermaplaning.
• Chemical Peel Certification: Advanced training and certification in performing chemical peels.
• Knowledge of Skin Anatomy and Conditions: Advanced understanding of skin anatomy and various skin conditions.
• Professional Memberships: Membership in professional organizations such as the ASCP or SDSS.
• Customer Service and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with patients.
• Sales and Product Knowledge: Knowledge of skincare products and ability to recommend and sell products to patients.
• Compliance with OSHA and HIPAA Regulations: Training in OSHA standards and understanding of HIPAA regulations.
• Hands-On Experience with Medical Devices: Proficiency in using medical devices and technology commonly found in medical spas.
• Time Management and Organizational Skills: Ability to manage appointment schedules and ensure treatments are conducted efficiently.
