Full job description
Our AmeriCorps member will serve in Kent and Queen Anne's counties, primarily in the public schools and broader community. We will provide the training for you to become a mediator and provide mediation for a collaborative decision-making between local families, neighbors, students, co-workers, and others.
POSITION TERM
August 15, 2024 - July 11, 2025, full time
Great introduction into the field of ADR, mediation, education, justice system. All applicants welcome to apply; we provide all the necessary training.

AMERICORPS MEMBERS WILL
- Mediate for students in conflict
- Support all aspects of mediation case management
- Strengthen partnerships between service sites, prisons, and schools
- Conduct intake for family and support people of incarcerated individuals

- Are you willing to travel to mediate in a variety of locations, primarily throughout Kent and Queen Anne's Counties in Maryland? (Site locations could include schools, public libraries, churches, courts, other nonprofits/mediation centers, etc.)

- Are you willing to work 35-40 hours per week, or 1700 hours over 11 months? (These hours will be primarily weekdays; some evening/ weekend hours can be arranged. Availability for school day mediations multiple times a week is required for this position).
